Description
Dispersible Aspirin Tablets 75mg (100) help to prevent heart attacks and strokes in people who have previously suffered from these conditions. It is also for those who have under-gone by-pass surgery.
- Product Name: Dispersible Aspirin 75 mg Tablets
- Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains aspirin 75 mg.
- Indications:
- For the secondary prevention of thrombotic cerebrovascular or cardiovascular disease.
- Following bypass surgery.
- Dosage:
- For long-term use: 75-150mg once daily (usual dosage).
- In some cases, a higher dose (up to 300mg per day) may be appropriate, especially in the short term.
- Use with caution in elderly patients.
- Method of Administration: Oral administration after dissolution in water.
- Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to salicylic acid compounds or prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors.
- Active or history of recurrent peptic ulcer, gastric/intestinal hemorrhage, or other bleeding.
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
- Use during the third trimester of pregnancy or with high-dose methotrexate.
- Special Warnings and Precautions:
- Not suitable as an anti-inflammatory/analgesic/antipyretic.
- Caution in cases of hypertension, gastric or duodenal ulcers, and hemorrhagic episodes.
- Temporary discontinuation before surgery may be necessary.
- Not recommended during menorrhagia.
- Use with care in adolescents and children under 16 years.
- May be a contributory factor in Reye’s Syndrome in some children.
- Increased risk of hemorrhage during or after operative procedures.
- Not suitable for inflammatory purposes.
